Tempestora is a powerful thrash metal band from Gloucester. Their sound is oftentimes highly melodic and shows more than a few melodeath elements. Yet the general ambiance of their music stays thrash throughout. The chugging riffs and hyper melodic solos remind me a lot of bands like Machine Head. Meanwhile the vocals have a great harshness to them, it helps to give the music a desperate edge which is extremely tasty. Overall the songwriting is pretty solid but I think it would be cool if the band added in some more melodic elements. As a three piece their sound could be filled out a bit but as is they do an excellent job of keeping everything tight and fresh. Their sole live recording is absolutely blazing and I'd like to see some more live stuff from them in the future. So, if you're looking for a fresh new thrash metal band to kick off your weekend with then Tempestora is the band for you!
