Toxic Waltz

German metal, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...If you didn't get the vibe already, Toxic Waltz represent some of the best and brightest in the German metal scene. Since 2009 these guys have been thrashing from their home city of Munich. What's interesting about these guys is that while they might very much identify with the German thrash metal scene the Bay Area also has a huge influence on their sound, especially prevalent in songs like the face melting Green. In other words, Toxic Waltz are one of the few acts who really fuse disparate thrash metal scenes into a cohesive whole, making something fresh and exciting. But that's not all mind you, one some of the more rapid songs we start to detect hints of neo thrash, that ominous and destructive new subgenre that seems to be the future for the music so many German bands helped to pioneer. Suffice to say, their live videos prove that they can destroy any stage. To sum it all up, Toxic Waltz are spearheading a new generation of top notch German thrash metal, and I for one intend to be there to hear (and hopefully even see) the result of the new crop of metallers travails. If Toxic Waltz is any indication it will be very, very good.
