Salem's Lot

So here's a band I've wanted to review for a while, (I've been on a Judas Priest kick) and these guys more or less deliver. This band has some powerful riffs solos that smell of The Number of the Beast a heavy bass, decent Priesty drums and Halford like lyrics. The guitars are a big aspect of this band and they have some really nice riffs. The way some of them are constructed actually reminds me a lot of some of the Maiden tracks on Dance of Death. There is a riff and then underneath a tasty little solo. The bass is loud and solid especially on Cold Blooded Killer where a thudding bass line adds some soul to the song. Finally the vocals are aggressive and are a bit of a combination of Iggy Pop and Rob Halford. The singer retains good qualities from both for some decent vocals. Listen to this band for some fun old fashioned NWOBHM type music.
OVERALL 8/10
