All She Wrote

I have to say when I saw this band start their video I was certain that this would be the worst band ever. I was pleased when I discovered that this band actually has a reasonable post hardcore sound, and does not sound completely generic. The English vibe manages to make this band a bit more interesting than the average A Day to Remember wuss-fest. The guitar work is reasonably brutal, however I'd recommend this group to keep away from boring chuggy bits, they get a bit to clsoe to the line at times. The bass work on this record is pretty good, but also rather chuggy, while it adds to the brutality it also makes the band a bit generic... so watch out for that guys! The drumming here is stellar with a lot of cool licks that really help to make everything flow nicely. Finally we have the vocals, which are rather well done, and feature decent growls and excellent cleans. Overall, ASW is a pretty cool post hard core band for you to check out!

  1. I'm sorry but anyone who has ever heard any sort of music at all can tell the vocals are consistently off-key. The guitar riffs are also all random assemblies of notes with absolutely no musical connection and the whole band have this cocky self satisfied attitude which I wouldn't mind if they weren't so shit. Terrible review, terrible band.

  4. I'm curious about your skrillex claim.
I'm not sure what makes you say that, I'm detecting much more of a neo-classical influence, specifically hindemith and profikiev
each to their own I suppose.
