Training Icarus is a really cool proggy symphonic metal band that expounds upon the class female voiced metal sound for their own unique and epic attack. The arrangements in this groups music are spectacular. They are epic in scale and show off some true musical genius behind them. They create some rather accessible and full sounding metal that will appeal to many a metalhead. Overall this band has a seemingly restrained quality to their sound. I get the feeling that something could explode at any minute. This creates some really nice tension, and when it its fulfilled... lets' just say that good things happen. The band can just explode with epic vocal harmonies and beautiful piano parts. Often it simply goes beyond what words can express. This band is just so magnificent when they want to be. So go check them out, they might just blow you away.
