The Jellycats

The Jellycats are a fun pop-rock band with a heavy classic rock influence. Their music provides an interesting balance between pop-punk and blues. The end results is what is essentially bouncy blues with poppy vocals that add a light hearted feel to the music. With lots of walking bass lines these guys are not afraid to get in touch with their older roots. Yet this is a band that knows how to make fun rock and roll for the people and not seem completely boring doing it. The music is very happy and really just peps you up. In many ways it reminds me of hours spent in the backseat of the car listening to my mothers Sheryl Crow records. The whole Ska side is very tasty and I think that it helps give the band its own feel and differentiates them in the pop rock crowd. So, fans of mainstream rock music, go check these guys out, you probably will adore them!
