American Standards is a brilliant punk act from Arizona. Their music is powerful and dominating filled with destructive riffs and heavy breakdowns. This is hardcore in its purest state. Music that will appeal to any punk, yet also many metalheads. Recently signed to We Are Triumphant Records this band could be the breakout hardcore band of 2012. With a sound as crushing and bloody as theirs is I could easily see them dominating the scene for years to come. Very much in the punk vein their music has a crazed energy to it and is something that you can mosh too nonstop. Even the slow parts have a wild energy to them that shows the magic of the genre. American Standards EMBODY what it means to be hardcore punks, their music is destructive, intelligent, and just plain relatable.
