Believe in Dreams is a solid post hardcore band from France who I am looking forward to seeing Friday night. The guitar riffs are tasty and rarely fall into the boring melodies that seem to dominate most of the genres. Instead they thrive with a hard rock energy, the de-evolutions into death growls are artfully done and finely crafted. I really like the melodies on this record, particularly on their song My Dream. The guitar parts fit in nicely with the vocals. Meanwhile the rhythm section is very tight. It helps to create a massive bottom end. Bolstered by the drums they keep the songs in perpetual forward motion and ensure that they stay tasty. In conclusion, if Believe in Dreams are as solid live as they are on the record then they should be a fun group to see in a live context!
