Hot School is a solid metalcore band whose riffs are distinctive and who flaunt flashy and triumphant solos. I am very much looking forward to seeing them next Friday with This Deafening Whisper. Solid breakdowns punctuate a strong rhythm attack. I particularly like the short acapella breaks that give some relief from the raw attack. These guys also have a sense of humor, they've done a very tight Katy Perry cover that ends in a pretty brutal breakdown. Suffice to say it made me smile. I'd also like to mention quickly that this bands lead singer is excellent, his voice is powerful and capable of all sorts of interesting subtleties. He is the icing on the cake of a very strong band. I just hope that their live performance is just as good as their music!
