As I went onto Make For Alaska's bandcamp I though I was just going to have to listen too another mediocre metalcore band. To be honest I almost didn't press the play button at all. But I did, and I was immediately blown away by Make For Alaska's violent metallic hardcore sound, a sound that takes no prisoners and beats its victims into submission quickly and efficiently. Maintaining the hardcore spirit while arming themselves with a hardcore edge Make For Alaska are a lot of fun to listen too. I'd like to mention that the bands more mainstream metalcore efforts while still solid, are nowhere near as tight as the sheer violence that dominates songs like The People's Elbows Suck Anyway. In other words, I'd like to see Make For Alaska fully embrace their more vicious side so that they can become a crushing modern metallic hardcore act. With tons of potential and a clear songwriting ability I'm excited to see what the future holds for this band!
