Something More

So it's been a good long while since I've covered any sort of pop punk, and usually I would steer clear of it. Yet today I found Something More a band who provide well... something more to the standard pop punk formulas that dominate the genre. With a fun and powerful sound these guys take me back to my middle school days filled with glorious choruses and high energy songs. With a lot of melody lines reminiscent of Bowling for Soup and punchy vocals reminiscent of Blink-182 this band is almost an amalgam of the best in pop punk. Their sound is fiery and light-hearted, there is nothing dark at all about these guys. We only find squeaky clean rocking on their new Nap Up EP. The production is tight too, Something More know exactly what they want to do and how to do it and the end result is an excellent slab of pop punk that should interest many fans of the genre. If you're looking for something upbeat and happy to close out your weekend with then Something More is definitely the band for you!
