Well, here we go! A hard rock band who really get the ethos of the thing. With influences as clear as the groups name (For the uninitiated Badmotorfinger is the name of Soundgardens third album) these guys have a vicious rock and roll attack ripped straight from Mars. What makes these guys so fun for me is that their riffs are just a blast to listen to, they drown you in mountains of groove that reveal the true musical excellence of this band. Their is a certain punchiness here to, it really accents tracks like Ride the Storm which showcases the band at their finest. Toss in a couple of great solos and some gritty vocals and you have yourself a band who really know what they want to do and how they want to do it. All I can say is, let this rock and roll party continue. Modern rock could do with a healthy does of reckless hedonism and Badmotorfinger seem to be just about insane enough to wipe away all the pretentiousness that is hurting the modern scene.
