Crucifliction

I get a lot of promos every day and sometimes the only thing I really have to go on is how cool a bands name sounds. And today, this method worked out wonderfully with Crucifliction a heavy metal from Vancouver. Combining a variety of styles Crucifliction state that they are 'Proud to be loud' and I can't think of a better way to describe it. Sure, their lyrics are sometimes a bit heavy handed (Iraqistan I'm looking at you) but the overall effect of the music is some high powered and high energy metal music that you won't soon forget. Sure bits and pieces of their new record Heresy is Met with Fire could be developed on, but as is it is a wholly enjoyable release. Crucifliction know how to write some top notch metal songs and I will be very excited to hear them develop in the future. With punishing grooves and some wonderfully flashy solos fans of old school metal as well as more modern things will find the perfect fusion in Cruciflictions music. Thrashers one and all, come forth and mosh!
