Normally I don't go for single reviews, but this one is different. Firstborne's new track, 'Save Myself' is a huge step forward for the band and deserves a write up. The band which features Chris Adler, James Lomenzo, Myrone and Girish Pradhan is a goddamn blast through and through. I've really gotta say, Girish's vocals are fucking phenomenal and add a huge breadth to the music, an almost power metal element at times.
Furthermore, the track is produced by the one and only Machine, and in many ways he brings in an exciting new element to the band. It's a delight to really sink your teeth into his work here. As a general rule, this is a significant step up for Firstborne and it shows that this band has a ton of potential beyond just 'quarantine studio project.' Greater than the sum of its parts, it's so cool to hear the band really locking it all into place.
