Redefining Darkness has a way of finding records that just feel sick. Wretched Fate are a band who grasp this completely, a fact that should be obvious from even just their cover art. The band are clearly obsessed with the old school and their execution is consistently impressive and speaks to their skill as musicians. The hectic pace of delivery and mind melting assault that shapes these songs is far too much fun and speaks to a band who really grasp the inherent magic of death metal. With angular riffs and thoughtful songwriting, Carnal Heresy is a distinctly demented sounding release.
