You kind of know what you're going to get with a band called Boneripper. Their new album, World Ablaze does not disappoint. This is metallic hardcore done right, with sick build ups, angular riffs and wonderfully angry vocals. There is an unbridled intensity to what Boneripper do on this record that makes for some compelling stuff. Sure they aren't reinventing the steel, but the album is done well, unapologetic and wearing their influences (Bands like Hatebreed and Terror) on their collective sleeve.
For those keeping an eye on the always bubbling Dutch hardcore scene, Boneripper are another level of ferocity. They seem poised to start doing more within the scene we all know and love, and I'm certain these songs rip live. Laden with grooves and punchy rhythms, Boneripper are a product of a metallic hardcore scene that seems to be racing towards ever more intense songwriting. Dive on in, the blood is fine.
