Our Blistered Horizon

So no we are on to the Post-Rock portion of your evening with Our Blistered Horizon. With a very impressive mix of genres in their ambient sound Our Blistered Horizon is a pleasure to listen too. The two guitars really sync up nicely and they provide a great mix of heavy and lighter stuff  while never getting to technical. These guys have compositions that seem to swirl around your ears taking you new places but always keeping to the same themes. The bass is particularly tasty on this record with almost a doom metal feel on some of the tracks leading to a very expansive and epic sound. The drums are absolutely on point, regardless of what the guitar does the drums stay relatively light and give you a rhythm to slowly move your body too. And together the guitar bass and drums, they create some of the most impressive ambient rock I have heard in a good long while. Cookies for everyone!
OVERALL 9.5/10

  1. Can't help but agree with that review. Amazing how the rhythms manage to relax and excite at the same time. Love it.
