Ali Collins is a pretty brilliant song
writer who exists very much in the vein of Jack White, he's just a
lone man and his guitar. His guitar parts are simple yet oddly
appealing and catchy. He manages to get a good folk sound that still
could appeal to a rock audience. Meanwhile the drums are also rather
straightforward and keep everything going nicely. The vocals are
fairly good but capture the good old fashioned folksiness of Jack
White and Hank Williams, Collins proves he can be the next great folk
hero. However there is one thing in his way, production. The
production on his songs is... not great. Yet if he can ameliorate
that I know that he can very easily become the next folk genius. So
go Ali Collins, go forth and ameliorate your production and then
conquer.
