Fingers Crossed

Fingers Crossed is a rather brutal metalcore band with a clear death metal influence. Their sound is interesting and they feature some cool rhythms. I just wish they matured their image a bit. Nobody WANTS to know you're a bunch of high schoolers! Make yourselves look sophisticated and cool, not like a bunch of random guys off the street! Anyway, on to the music. The guitar playing is solid and I really like some of the riffs. They show some pretty great technical skill and are fun to listen too. I particularly like some of the solos which go beyond the typical flash and go for something with a bit more depth and power to it. The bass work is really heavy and on some of the more solid riffs the bass really brings the band down into some dark depths. Drum-wise this band is pretty cool, with the drummer adding in some awesome flavor to the breakdowns. His playing keeps the energy level up and the music fun. He is definitely a key member of this band. Finally we have the vocals, the growls are solid and they are definitely VERY metalcore. They do a good job of communicating the lyrics and setting the tone for the band. In conclusion, Fingers Crossed is a pretty cool metalcore band with some young guys who could become seriously awesome very fast!
