Faith Aligned is a nifty metalcore band with a few interesting black metal elements thrown in for flavor. The guitar riffing is distinctly American in style. It reminds me quite a bit of the riffing found in old Devil Wears Prada. From a guitar perspective this is straight up rocking metalcore. The bass playing is also pretty metalcore. On the breakdowns the bassist really gets to shine with some really heavy riffs that manage not to become chuggy. The drum work on this record is very tasty indeed. With a lot of solid ore fills there is a lot of fun to be had when listening to these guys. I really like the tight drum playing on the track Judgement Will Burn. Overall his playing is very tight and great to listen too. Finally we have the vocals. Tinged with elements of black metal the playing here is quite tasty indeed. I really like the screaming style as it makes this band a bit more unique than your generic core act. I also really like the group sing a long parts. They add an interesting anthemic feel to the music. In conclusion, Faith Aligned is a pretty cool band who are a cut above your average metalcore act. So check them out!
