The Endless Obsession is a heavy hardcore band that prove to be a pretty impressive effort for a group of 16 year olds. Asides from a production that is slightly off at times these guys prove to be very talented musicians who can truly make some awesome music. The guitar parts are usually pretty typical of the hardcore genre and they have a raw aggression to them that is pretty excellent. Yet their are other sides to the music and we see that this kid is in fact a pretty decent player. The bass parts are also pretty cool, and with a lot of bass fills he helps make the music seem rather unique sounding. I particularly like his bass playing in A Cataract in the Eye of The Beholder. The drumming is very solid, and on the breakdowns there is a certain headbanging majesty that you will not soon forget. The drummer is pretty excellent for his age and has licks that most professionals would envy. The growls are pretty stellar and have a lot of meat behind them. They fill their music with a dark and blackened anger. At the same time the cleans are also rather good. While maybe not stellar, this bands singer definitely can belt it and adds a lot of flavor to the music. In conclusion, The Endless Obsession is an awesome band and I can't wait to see where they are in 5 years!
