Einmyria

Einmyria is the Greek answer to the new wave of thrash metal bands that seem to be taking over the world. With a sound that hearkens back to the might of the classic thrash/death metal gods like Vengeance Rising and Sepultara their sound is filled with unadulterated aggression, cool licks and tons of riffage. The solos acquire an almost power metal feel at times as they really get the music to a new driving level. At the same time the destructive riffs really keep the music going. I particularly like the bass work on this record as it has a fast and loose feel to it that reminds me of bands like Motorhead or Exodus. It adds a lot of flavor to the music. Meanwhile the drumming is hectic and fun. It has tons of cool fills that really allow for a lot of headbanging. Finally the vocals have a lot of the passion and death metal energy that make the genre so great. Yet there are also cleans that are very nicely employed to add a lot of flavor to the music. In conclusion Einmyria is a lot of fun to listen too and very much worth checking out if you want some new Greek thrash metal!
