Divided Skies is a nifty prog band very much in the vein of Dream Theater. While their current catalogue is rather small they show off a lot of potential and seem like an act that can go far fast. Their music is technical and features a lot of really interesting fiddly bits that do a lot more than meets the eye. These musicians seem to reek jazz, in particular the solos are very jazzy. Yet this just shows how trained these guys are. In many ways, their playing is technically perfect. It is highly enjoyable and features a ton of really tasty solos. Their music reminds me a lot of early Queensryche. Proggy with a lot of awesome classic metal taste mixed in.This is a band any prog snob would love, so go check them out!
