Item 9 and the Mad Hatters are a fun and crazy rock and roll band who will give you something to groove to. Their latest release "The Chronic Illness: Freshly Baked" is a testament to hard and heavy rock and roll music. With funk elements mixed in to a general wash of hard rock this band should please any fan, from the people who worship Zeppelin to those who like more contemporary acts. This album has a little something for everyone, from guitar acrobatics to weird atmospheric bits. I think that there are a lot of really cool riffs on this record and they're definitely riffs you can groove along to. The vocals are high powered and filled with a classic rock and roll energy. I particularly like the bass riffs on this record, they add a lot to the music. It's impressive to hear a bassist who has this huge a role in his bands sound. He helps make these guys unique for me. Overall this is a slab of fun rock and roll insanity that both metalheads and rockers will enjoy so go check it out!
