The Spade is a really interesting and cool rock band who have extremely intelligent lyrics that really give you something to ponder. I must say that I'm really looking forward to seeing them Friday night, this is a band that shows that not all modern rock sucks. I'm quite honestly blown away by the depth and beauty of their music. Finding a balance between an epic and brilliant progressive operatic rock album and early 70s rock and roll intensity these guys are really cool. Their music has a certain magic to it that very few bands can replicate. They just have a raw and beautiful sound that defies words and forces you to face the true magic of rock and roll. This is a band that would not have been out of place in the magic era of rock and roll, not because of their sound but the sheer innovation and passion that goes into their music. It sticks in your head and is not something you can evade its just that good. So, my friends, come check out The Spade their music is smart, heavy and fun, quite honestly some of the best stuff I have heard all year!
