Many people love Deaths music with a passion. They have tattoos, shirts, I even have a DIYed Death hat. Yet some people accuse Death of not having enough of the cutthroat rage that makes death metal so much fun. That is why we have Formis. With all of Schuldiners lyrical magic combined with an all guns blazing rhythm attack Formis brings a slab of old school death metal magic to the forefront in their music. Essentially what would happen if Alex Skolnick played lead guitar in Death Formis is an absolutely brilliant death metal band. The guitarmonies are fabulous, they provide a nice moody atmospheric layer to the songs and help make the music a lot more powerful. Many listeners will be pleased to note that the overall growling style seems to be very much in the vein of Human-era Chuck. The one negative thing I have to say about this band is that they don't have enough material! Overall Formis is a treat for all fans of old school death metal, they will blow your face off and then make you bow at the altar of Schuldiner. Go check them out!
