A Minor Error

A Minor Error

Formed in 2009 A Minor Error is a group formed by some Berklee trained guys from Philadelphia who can trace their bands roots back to their college days. Their music is proggy and epic, very much in the vein of bands like Dream Theater or even Circus Maximus. Djenty influences permeate the sound but this band is by no means a djent act. Instead their music sounds like some of the more rhythmically complex work of Between the Buried and Me and Opeth.. The guitar solos are very tasty and some of them are even Guthrie Govanlike in their execution. They add a lot of flavor to the work and give it the jazz fusion feel that makes me love this type of prog. It captures all the maxims of the genre yet also offers up a few unique elements of its own. Suffice to say A Minor Error is great band to check out for anyone interested in prog, especially those in the southeast Pennsylvania area.
