The Siege Perilous is an exquisite alt rock band who use finely crafted tunes that gently caress your ears to lure you into a beautiful pool of sound. Their choruses are majestic and they use a lot of solid song structures to get a very nice ambient quality to their music. The guitar parts are especially well done with some nice build ups, especially in the song Hush. They fit in nicely with the vocal lines to create a inspiring interplay that does not get old. This is especially remarkable considering that their is nothing particularly innovative about this bands music. I'd also like to quickly point out that the production is really marvelous and adds to the beauty of the music, it is very lush and cascades nicely across the eardrums. Even if the sound is not breaking new boundaries it is tight and distinctly listenable, something that any fan of alt rock should enjoy.
