Call For Submission is a tight hard rock band from Annapolis. After ten years of creating driving hard rock, these guys are ready to put out their first album. With a wonderful modern metal sound that is distinctly reminiscent of Avenged Sevenfold this band does not fail to have a true grit backing up its music. Even within the cool vocal harmonies and epic guitar parts there is still an inner Paul D'Ianno like grit which gives the music a lot of flavor. Additionally adding spice to the music are the fiery guitar solos on songs like Walking Savior. While they are flashy, they are not at all out of place. Also, there are oftentimes leads going on under the vocals, this adds to the Avenged Sevenfold flavor that the music has. I love the punchy riffs that can be found throughout this record, they are nicely accentuated by powerful bass parts, which, at best, remind me of the legendary Steve Harris. In conclusion, if you're a fan of modern metal and modern hard rock, then A Call For Submissions pumping and polished sound should be right for you!

ACFS is by far my favorite Annapolis Valley based band to watch live. They are true performers and know how to keep the crowd involved. Not a dull moment! Great review fellas!
