Seel is a heavy grunge band from Scotland. Their music is heavy and filled with the raw might that makes Alice in Chains so good. They have a wonderful fusion of light and dark and reveal a band with serious songwriting chops. Their are a lot of killer riffs here that remind me very much of Nirvana.The music has a certain unbridled power that only true masters of grunge can really achieve. Despite still being in only the demo stages Seel have been able to create music that shrieks of rock and roll. Filled with a raw hatred and an impressive dedication to the genre Seel are simply a lot of fun to listen too. I love the demo quality of the songs though, it really helps to give the band the grit they need to showcase their formidable talents. I'm curious to see if they will be able to capture this same grit on an in studio album, my advice would be to record live. Anyway, Seel are a lot of fun to listen too and modern grunge fans should adore their punchy riffs and powerful vocals.
