Oblique

OBLIQUE

For today's review we journey to the mystical land of Bangladesh, the country that threatens to fall under the ocean. Oblique is a fascinating rock band from this far flung country and their passionate and beautiful modern rock sound is not to be missed. This five piece show an incredible songwriting ability with a knack for writing some really incredible acoustic passages along with some fiery electric parts. Oblique do a great job of fusing light and dark with parts that flow elegantly into each other to create a magnificent final product. This is blatantly clear on their song 71/13 a track that showcases the songwriting might of Oblique. I'd also like to point out that the band do a great job of using their native Bengali as a vehicle for their songs. It helps to make them unique and shows off the bands rather unusual heritage. So if you're looking for a fresh new rock band with a few tricks that you might not have been exposed too before then Oblique is the band for you!
