Bury Their Bones

Bury Their Bones is a ripping French death metal band whose crushing riffs and simply evil sound brings me back to the early Mantas demos. Whats important to note about these guys is that they don't focus their sound solely on speed, instead there are a lot of slower and more devastating passages which are oftentimes reminiscent of doomier Pantera tracks. The sheer darkness invoked in their demos is really cool too, its what gives the music a very old school quality without making it sound like the band is trying to be old school. Instead the evil seems to be a natural extension of themselves, (Although it might not be downright scary, like Antediluvian) it gives off a rather Glenn Benton type vibe, which is obviously a good thing. In brief, these French death metallers know what it is to create pummelling and chthonic death metal, music that is not for the common man and they revel in it. If you're looking for a bleak and unforgiving way to kick of your Wednesday, this is the band for you.
