Defeat The Earth is a cool circle pit inspiring brutal death metal band from the French town of Nevers. Their brutal sound and hard hitting riffs seem like the kind of thing that explodes heads live. (Suffice to say, I'm glad to be seeing them tonight) Their riffs are simply spectacular and show off a sort of dedication to brutality that I thought was lost years ago. Every once in a while these guys add in a breakdown like thing, but honestly, it seems to work. More impressive to me is that these guys are so heavy and yet only have one guitarist. It's a testament to his skill and songwriting abilities. The drum attack is relentless to, the super fast blast beats of songs like Day to Day are simply not too be missed. So, if you're looking for a band who will get your body moving and the mosh pit storming at incredible speeds then Defeat the Earth is a band you're going to want to check out. Rife with potential and plenty of talent these are the kind of guys who make brutal death metal worth listening to.
