Magdalen Bridge is an interesting alternative metal band with a strangely progressive sound and some interesting and very unique riffs that are of a style I've never really heard before. While some of the production is lacking and the sound could be a bit more full at times the general power of the music is impressive and their debut track Black House shows a lot of potential. Their songwriting is very strong and their pieces, while not progressive are definitely interesting to listen too and do not overstay their welcome. Their mix of cleans and growls is especially well done and feels...natural, it vaguely reminds me of groups like Anciients. In conclusion, if you're looking for a tasty young band with mountains of promise and some very cool riffs that should keep you engaged for multiple spins then Magdalen Bridge is the band for you. I can see these guys going very far in the next year or so, with some filling out of their sound and more material this band should definitely be on an upward trajectory!
