Dodenkrocht is a black metal project who are a tad more obscure than my own project (By one facebook like) but legions better. A band who create dark sounds and powerful black metal mayhem Dodenkrocht understand black metal on a fundamental level and do not shy away from making grim and bleak music that deals with harsh lyrical topics. Their progressive epic, the twelve minute long masterwork, Devoid is a testament to the bands potential. While their is basement levels of production it really only serves to compliment the music making it that much more poignant. These guys will not compensate and become more appealing, instead they will only become darker, fully embracing the idea that black metal ist krieg by crafting epic soundscapes and beautiful, if harsh, realities, realities that we all must deal with. So, if you're looking for some hard hitting and esoteric black metal then Dodenkrocht is the band for you, unique and powerful the future should be bright for this mysterious band!
