Hamish Anderson

Hamish Anderson is a rock musician who brings in a variety of influences to a sound that is both powerful and dynamic. With lots of interesting musical shifts and twists and turns that showcase the magic of the band Hamish Anderson represents some of the coolest folksy blues rock that I have heard in a good long while. What's more impressive is that he got the chance to record with the legendary Rami Jaffee (Foo Fighters, ex-Wallflowers). In other words, this guy is darn good and some pretty significant people are starting to notice. Suffice to say, the future seems bright for this young blues rock purveyor and I think that with a little luck he could become seriously big. A man who understands the spirit of musicians like Jeff Buckley and Bob Dylan (something that is very, very hard to find these days) there is a certain magic to Hamish Anderson's sound that gives me hope. Hope in the knowledge that one day, this rising Australian blues god will get the recognition that he rightly deserves.
