Hell Rules Heaven-S.I.N.N.E.R.S

d

A lot of modern hard rock takes itself to seriously and loses the sheer hedonistic magic that rock and roll should have. Hell Rules Heaven definitely don't have this problem and in fact, their crazed brand of rock magic is most triumphant indeed. Their new record S.I.N.N.E.R.S is a testament to the eternal power of the genre in its most driving and powerful form, sure this isn't the most intelligent rock record out there but by god is it fun. From the initial cry of Seven you know Hell Rules Heaven have hit upon something big with this new record, and it will triumph.

One of my favorite aspects of this record is the magic of the choruses and the power of the vocals. The cleans descend into screams and the screams ascend into soaring choruses there is a bit of something for everyone on this album. The old rock and roll stuff is definitely here, but S.I.N.N.E.R.S is not afraid to delve into some more contemporary mosh friendly death metal stuff too. The sheer potential behind this record is enormous and it's pretty clear that not only are these guys party animals, they want the whole world to be too. Heavy metal for the masses, rock and roll for anarchic dissolution Hell Rules Heaven know what they want to do and more importantly, exactly how to do it.

In conclusion, the only real problem with this album is that is to short. Not all of the ideas are developed as much as they could be. Yet as is, this is still a monster of a record. With eight tracks these guys accomplish more rock and roll hedonism than almost any of their contemporaries. Hell Rules Heaven grasp the magic of rock and roll and pump it into their music like it's never going to stop. If you want an album that is rip roaringly riotous then S.I.N.N.E.R.S is exactly what you've been looking for, the kind of rock that will never stop, sit down, shut up, and lets go!
