Moose Patrol

There used to be a time when I had to cover a lot of different alt rock bands, as Two Guys got bigger, that became less and less true. Yet every once in a while I consider it a bit of a treat to get to check out the cool stuff going on in the alternative rock scene. That's part of why I'm so excited to review Moose Patrol today. The other part of my excitement is due to the fact that this band creates some really great alt rock that combines a variety of influences to create something powerful and emotional. One of the main things that really characterizes this band is the grungy sound that makes itself present in songs like Far Away. The whole ethos of the band seems very grunge too, with mixtures of beautiful acoustics and more mainstream sounding parts with other bits that are more desperate and heavy. (Although, nothing here gets truly heavy, from a musical standpoint at least) In conclusion, if you want an alt rock band who stick a little bit of everything in their sound and get something that is clearly their own then you are going to want to check out Moose Patrol Fiery and passionate these guys have the potential and sheer dedication to go far with their music, and I sincerely hope they get the chance to do just that!
