Dissevered

Dissevered is an exciting new death metal band who incorporate elements of prog and thrash into their powerful and commanding sound. Their mix of cleans and growls is distinct, with the cleans only coming in on rare occasions to add flavor. This helps to give the band a more unique vibe, distinctly setting apart from all that came before. Another highlight of the mammoth Dissevered sound is the use of shredding guitar parts. There are all sorts of crazy licks on hand here and they do wonders in crafting an epic and mind bending soundscape. I especially like the mysterious and powerful guitar tones on songs like Methuselah which adds a healthy oriental feel to the sound. Suffice to say, there are a lot of cool ideas coming out of this Ohio band and I'm curious to see how they develop. As is, they have the rage, brutality, and pure hatred that is required to make some top notch death metal, lets just hope that they manage to parlay this into the success they so richly deserve!
