Yeah this is a face melter. There isn't a ton to say about a two song split, but the bands represented on this crushing split are the old gods. Their willingness to thumb their nose a bit at the young bucks with the title of the offering is just icing on the cake. Devastatingly heavy and uncompromising in its execution, Blood and Incantation each come delivering their best here. Blood's deliciously angular and vicious performance is addictive. Meanwhile, Incantation remain gloriously sick, devastating listeners with uncompromising sound and brain crushing heaviness. It's death metal done with a terrifying crunch and a sense of morbidity that remains fresh after over a third of a century.
