Cultic have long since captured my imagination with their unique mixture of dungeon synth and death doom, which comes replete with a variety of colorful influences including black metal and martial industrial. This new maxi single, Seducer is a veritable monster of an offering. The production sounds simply massive and the songs lean into everything that makes Cultic special. From the ominous dungeon synth intro of the title track to the trademark stomp of the b-side "Seduced" this is just a hint of what's to come for the band. Sounding bigger and more wonderfully heavy than ever, those of us who love fantasy and death metal are going to be well served by this latest offering.
